The Netronid is a brilliant yet terrifying creation of the famed inventor, Netros. Initially designed for maintenance and repair of larger Arcane Constructs in the battlefield, these small, spider-like constructs quickly proved their worth as efficient and ruthless killers. Standing at 2-3 feet tall, their armored exoskeletons are resistant to most conventional attacks. Their sharp, powerful claws and mandibles are capable of tearing through plate armor, flesh, and bone with ease, making them formidable opponents even for experienced knights.
Netros, always seeking new ways to expand the capabilities of his creations, infused the Netronids with the ability to cast basic but lethal magical spells, making them even more dangerous in the field. Their small size and agile movements allow them to easily hide and ambush unsuspecting soldiers, causing chaos and fear among enemy ranks.
As the Liturium War raged on, Netros continued to refine and improve the design of the Netronids, creating variants for specialized tasks and battlefield conditions. However, whispers of Netros' descent into madness and flamboyance have started to circulate among the commoners, and many fear that his creations, including the Netronids, may soon spiral out of control. Nonetheless, the Leacianan military continues to deploy the deadly Arcano Arachnids in their ongoing war, fully aware of the devastation they can bring to their enemies.
