Torde, The Gatekeeper

Torde was an angel whose heart was corrupted during the Sibling War. When Torde was asked to weed out Mindoriel agents within Tharador’s heartlands he complied, though whispers and promises of power and utter satisfaction drove him to treason. His heart was changed and he begun battling against his kin and the children they aimed to protect. When the war was over, Torde was cursed and banished from Syelden.

With a heart of stone, his body and skin turned to stone with him and he was petrified in the place he stood, upon a hill looking to the sky and begging for forgiveness. There he remained unmoved and untouched for thousands of years. When Gehr Keep was built, his presence was made the forefront for his intimidating yet graceful look. He was made as the guardian of the gate, and folk tales passed through Strassen in coming years of Torde being an angel sent to watch over the people and protect them.

Finally when he had himself regained, he found his skin and armour still to be made of stone, an olive branch he thought, for him to redeem his honour and find his place again in Syelden. When he heard of the plans of Vehryn and the others like him, he took them up thinking if he could rid parasitic vampires from this fair town, it would be an act able to see his acceptance once again among his kin.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
