Angler Gluglin, Fishfolk Abomination

The Manara were once a race of sea dwelling humanoids that lived in uncharted seas between the continents. Some say they were the creation of Eldrinderi in earlier days when his heart was not wholly warped in evil: before he became Quorenderi. Though after Mindoriel’s defeat, during the First Era his sights turned to these peaceful fishfolk. They became ensnared in his schemes, and he pulled them into a false sense of trust, seeing him as their creator and a divine being.

Though it was true, his wishes for them were far from divine. The Manara were cast into the darkest chasms of the sea where all light faded. There they were tortured, prodded, forced into breeding and then stripped from their young and killed. Then the cycle would repeat and the young would be forced to kill each other in gladiatorial style arenas until only the fittest remained. Then they would breed, and be killed soon after again.

For generations this continued until the entire race was unrecognisable: a once fair and peaceful race were now twisted, bloodthirsty abominations. Lanterns sprouted from their heads to lure foes and prey, and they held little command over their minds. Their bodies had grown short, stocky and hardy – their faces faired even worse. But this was all Quorenderi wished for: a subservient race to be his fodder in the war against surface dwellers – able to withstand many blows on their scaly skin before they fell. Many intercontinental sailors are most fearful of these creatures, as often schools of them will swarm upon a ship and lay waste to its hull before the crew has even realised what has happened. Then as the ship sinks into the abyss, the Angler Gluglin’s sink their teeth into the crew.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
