Kartol, War Chief

Kartol is the embodiment of a rags-to-riches success story for the common Alimrothi man. The only child of a factory working wife and a police-officer husband, Kartol seemed destined to stay within his commoner status quo. But the values of diligence, honesty and resilience embodied by his parents and all Alimrothi people shone strong in his heart. At the age of sixteen he joined the Mobile Infantry units where he quickly rose in the ranks.

A particular act of self-sacrifice at the age of twenty saw him promoted to Lieutenant after saving his squad from an enemy wizard’s spell, catching it in his hand and casting it back at the foe that threw it. Though his hand was scarred after, still glowing purple and able to emanate magic seemingly at random, Kartol had to have it amputated. Though again he gave selflessly, volunteering in the Augmentation program, taking a mechanical hand in place of his lost one.

The experience saw Kartol worn but wisened and he made many other tactical decisions that saw him continue to rise until he was second in command to the Eastern War Chief at the time. Kartol built a great relationship with War Chief Skraal, seeing him as a mentor and father-figure, so it was little surprise when Kartol was appointed as Skraal’s successor. With the title newly placed upon him, Kartol’s first objective imposed by Alimroth’s ruling men was the assault and destruction of Brel Vardra, to which he would valiantly march against.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
