Valter Brookes, Hunter of the Defiled

Vampires are thought to be few and far between in modern times of Tharador. Most of the Almenhier clan fled from Duskweave following its resettlement, and the remaining clans reside mainly in the continent’s north. Valter knows however that this sentiment is incorrect, for vampires instead live in plain site, unknown to the eyes of most lay people for their guise has become so strong that they are truly mistaken for actual persons.

Valter has known this since he was a child, for his family has been tasked with ridding Draksborne of vampires for centuries. Their greatest failure was failing to kill Arthur Belfrie, who had been inflicted with vampirism sometime during the Belfrie Rebellion. It was this vampire that used his unholy abilities to kill Draksborne’s king at the time, ending the war and ushering in the newest age of darkness for Draksborne. Thus the Brookes’ have hunted for Arthur for years, whom always seems to evade them.

Most recently he has heard a tale of a coven of Vampires in the far north of Tharador, that operate in the kingdoms of Greypeak and Brightstone. Their descriptions and hunting methods match such Arthurian Vampiric Teachings, so Valter believes it may be his best lead against Arthur that he will find. He has chosen to seek the aid of the Hex Hunters of Brighstone, those well familiar with the area, and originally those who taught him much of his own skills during his training years. Alongside him treks Brekken the Bodacious and Brazen, a bard whom he has had many dealings with in the past who aims to make a saga of Valter’s quest, as mundane and tiresome as it might be.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
