Ahznagol, Aberrant Guards

Much of the genes of the Psyflayers are based upon the first Ahznagol found washed ashore in Oldavor by the Colossals. These Aberrant Guards are masters of both land and sea, and should their blade fail to cleave their foe asunder, water jetted at piercing speeds will surely do it instead. Though these are considered the best of Quorenderi’s soldiers, they usually will only enter combat when grunts have failed their work.

Each Ahznagol is said to be descended from Quorenderi as well, explaining both their immense strength and mastery of Minera’s Tears. It was after the Age of Creation that Quorenderi first devised these creatures, and though they were not conquerors they were intended instead to destroy any sailors who dared to lead their ships beyond the safety that Inderimaeth and her Leviathans provided near Tharador’s coasts.

When Quorenderi tried to sink Tharador fifty eight years prior it was the Ahznagol that lead his armies upon the surface, destroying the ancient Elven city of Elen Estel and massacring tens of thousands. This was the first time the Ahznagol made themselves wholly known to the people of Tharador, and since then they have always been reviled, thought of as heartless and godless creatures. Thus many Elves who suffered through the calamity at Elen Estel would sing at the chance to drive a hammer down on the head of one and crack them into splinters.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
