Cuthari Brute

Cuthari brutes are hideous mutations that first emerged a decade ago as a result of a mishap during experimentation. These creatures were originally normal cuthari, but were twisted by a group of researchers’ desire to increase the subjects’ physical strength during the cloning procedure, turning them into monsters. Despite the experiment’s success in increasing strength, the resulting mutation stripped the subjects of their intelligence almost entirely, resulting in what are seen as lesser beings by their creators. Although they are considered lesser, the cuthari still have a use for these abominations, viewing these mutated brutes as useful muscle and putting them to work as lab rats, bodyguards, or simply deckhands. When more brutes are deemed necessary by a cuthari group, they implant the mutation within cloning vats, allowing them to replenish their ranks.

The mutation that affects the brutes has taken hold of them at a cellular level, so even if they were to die of old age, the cloned genetic matter would become another brute. However, a brute living long enough to reach old age is extremely unlikely, as even if they were to survive their masters’ experiments, or the dangerous situations they are placed in, the mutation will have wreaked havoc on their organs. Because of this, all cuthari brutes have internal cuthari tech powering their bodies, which keeps their organs from degenerating too quickly.

The information below applies to most products on this site. Any exceptions will be noted in the individual item descriptions.

Size references (Medium, Large, Huge, etc.) are done at a 28mm(1″) scale using standard D&D rules. This means that minis will have a size commensurate with the diameter of their base:

  • Small/Tiny – 1″ diameter base or smaller (depends on the mini)
  • Medium – 1″ diameter base
  • Large – 2″ diameter base
  • Huge – 3″ diameter base
  • Gargantuan – typically uses a 4″ diameter base. If the base size is different, it will be noted in the listing.

32mm (heroic scale) miniatures may have bases that are slightly larger.

75mm (display scale) miniatures will typically have a base that is around 3″. Models in this size will have their actual dimensions in their description

  • Product images may include renders, special effects, and/or custom paint that may not be indicative of the received product. We will be adding actual photos of the printed objects as we produce them. If you would like us to send a photo of anything in our shop that doesn’t already have one prior to shipping, please let us know and we’ll be happy to oblige.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all products are 3d-printed in gray with either an ABS-like resin or PLA. This ensures the products are durable but still hold their detail
  • We still recommend handling the products with care as many have very fine, delicate features that can still be easily broken
  • Because of the production process, there may be slight variations, indentations, or rough edges that need to be cleaned up before use/painting
  • Some models require assembly, which may involve sanding, filing, and/or fillers for gaps and seams
  • Dice towers are printed hollow with 2.5mm thick walls. This is to ensure that we are able to provide them at a reasonable price but still have enough strength to hold up to use and packing/unpacking at the gaming table.
  • We perform a thorough inspection of every product before it’s shipped to ensure that it is something that we would be proud to display on our own tables.
